Character Turnaround
I was tasked with creating a Character Turnaround sheet and GIF using Photoshop, and given a list of prompts to choose from to create the character. I had approximately 10 days to complete this project, and I met the deadline. I turned out a wacky/awkward teenager that loves painting and reading, but is terrified of flying. Although she’s odd, Lilith is supposed to be relatable and fun!
This was my 1st ever attempt at creating a GIF. I definitely had some trouble with drawing her from different angles, but I did my best to overcome it and used layering and opacity to try to keep her matched up in different angles. I have come a long way since then, but for my first attempt, I’m proud of her!
The original sketches for Lilith clearly turned out different than her final design, but that’s what’s so great about iterations! Sometimes, our first ideas aren’t the absolute best they can be, and the more time you spend with/on a character, the better they can turn out
