Lay All Your Love On Me
My mission with this project was to create a 1-minute animation to a song using After Effects. Luckily, when I listen to music, sometimes my brain plays little movies or scenes in my head to go with it. I loved getting to apply this with actual animation and see the story in my head come to the screen! I chose Lay All Your Love On Me by ABBA, as I just quite enjoy the song and thought 1 minute would be a good amount of time for the story that went with it.
I had roughly 5 days to complete this project, and I took a bit of a different approach. I made a written storyboard, drew out my frames on paper, then I digitalized them, cleaned them up, and animated them after! It was definitely a different experience, but I tend to be more comfortable with faces and anatomy when using a simple sketchbook. I had some trouble initially with the proportions, but fixed them while digitalizing the frames. This animation is mostly geared towards teenagers and possibly young adults.
