The platypus exhibit was a BPA competition where I had to design a realistic exhibit that had both the platypus and audience in mind. I had to think of how the zoo employees would be able to get into the enclosure to feed and care for them, as well as think of where they would sleep. I made holes in the rocks so the platypuses could swim and play, because in my research i found out that they can be very playful creatures.
