Animation Song
This is a one minute animation I made using a song of my choice. For this project, I chose “The Moss” by Cosmo Sheldrake and chose to create a story within a story.
The Process
I made this animation for a young fantasy loving audience, originally with an age range of 10-20, but I later changed it to 10-18 year olds. With my audience in mind, I chose the song “The Moss” By Cosmo Sheldrake because his songs always had a whimsical feel that matched my audience and idea perfectly. I then made the storyboard for the video, but it ended up taking three pages in total.

Making the storyboard and layout was easy, one of the main problems was animating and backgrounds. I ended up taking too long when animating, so it took twice as long as my first skillshare. It took 4 weeks to finish than the original length that I was planning which was 2 weeks. Luckily I found a way to shorten the animation time by just making pngs on photoshop. It also helped to make the characters consistent when I drew them out.

Some of the skills I was able to use were timing, movement, and secondary action in order to make it stand out. Such as the hair and movement of the fox’s tail, I felt like it helped make it stand out nicely.
