Character Design Project:
This was a project to design a character, the prompt was: A wacky human who is average height and skinny, with medium, wavy purple hair, hazel eyes, a pale skin tone, and a crooked nose. They love painting. They want to write a book but are afraid of flying. I designed a character for a hypothetical show for 12-14 year olds. The due date was 10 days after you start the project. I determined the audience, managed the development of creative assets, and applied fundamental design principles. I had to deal with managing the timeline, and formatting issues. I overcame them by asking for help from my peers.

Animation Project
This project was to create a 1 minute animation in 30 hours. I decided to make an animatic of a story about two siblings. My biggest problem was creating scenes that conveyed the emotional response I wanted the audience to feel. I overcame this by looking and references from animated movies I thought accomplish this, a big one being scenes of Lilo and Nani from ‘Lilo and Stitch’. I think something I could work on in the future is getting a better understanding of cinematography, since I think I could have picked more dynamic shots. Overall I am very happy with how this turned out.
