Motion Media Skills Showcase:
Music Video

Starting out

I was presented a project to complete worth thirty hours. I had a choice on what project I wanted to do for my Motion Media Skills Showcase and I wanted to do a music video. When I chose a music video, I instantly thought about doing a sort of fight animation alongside some cool music because I always thought those animations were cool and I thought If I wanted to create animations like that I should just dive right in to what I’m gonna be dealing with.

The Process

First, I had to choose a song to do a music video over, I did Feel Good Inc by Gorillaz. I started off by making a storyboard of what would happen in each scene and what would happen in what time frame and all of that. After making said storyboard, I went straight to redrawing the scenes but more refined and more complete.

The Final Product

After redrawing every scene to look more complete and final, I synced them all up together in Adobe After Effects with my song of choice: Feel Good Inc. Though it took time trying to sync up every scene to fit in perfectly within the song, it all worked out in the end.
