Skills Showcase

This is my fictional gourmet popcorn company I created for my Skills Showcase at Francis Tuttle. I had 30 hours to complete this project. I used the skills I acquired during my Graphic Design course to create the graphics in Photoshop. Friends and family were eager to help me come up with unique flavors for the company. I wanted the company to feel friendly and modern. The main goal of the company is to provide unique flavors that put a twist on traditional popcorn as well as being available to those with dietary restrictions so no one misses out!

I started with some rough sketches of different logo ideas

and possibilities. I eventually landed on a solid idea

and began the design process.

I chose a fun simple style for the logo that would stand out

and easily be identified as the unique popcorn company.

For the business card I looked at several different

business cards from various companies to spark

some ideas and fuel the creativity.

I settled on a packaging style that represented the

feel and look I wanted for the company.

For the billboard I chose a more modern

option than your traditional billboard.

Finally, I had to create a social media graphic to promote the company

so I went with a simple and effective approach that is easy to read.

I enjoyed creating the logo and bringing my ideas to life. Some of the tools and skills I used in this project that I have learned were balance, consistence, and iteration. This project challenged me creatively, but I am proud of the work I created!

This is my Lego animation I did for my 3D showcase. I was given 30 hours to create, texture, rig and animate anything I wanted. I decided to create a Lego minifigure because it was on of my favorite toys as a kid. I incorporated skills such as UV mapping, texturing, and rigging. I faced many challenges such as reckless rigging, modeling mishaps, and animation antics. I eventually overcame said challenges by researching and failure. I also reached out to friends and family for suggestions and improvement.

I started with some rough sketches to map out my ideas to bring them to life.

This is the finished product.
