Skills Showcase

This is my fictional gourmet popcorn company I created for my Skills Showcase at Francis Tuttle. I had 30 hours to complete this project. I used the skills I acquired during my Graphic Design course to create the graphics in Photoshop. I struggled coming up with unique flavors for the company but I had friends and family give some ideas. I wanted the company to feel friendly and modern. The main goal of the company is to provide unique flavors that put a twist on traditional popcorn as well as being available to those with dietary restrictions so no one misses out!

I started with some rough sketches of different logo ideas and possibilities. I eventually landed on a solid idea and began the design process.

I chose a fun simple style for the logo that would stand out and easily be identified as the unique popcorn company.

For the business card I looked at several different business cards from various companies to spark some ideas and fuel the creativity.

I found a free mock up that accurately represented the type of packaging I wanted for the feel of the company.

For the billboard I chose a more modern option than your traditional billboard.

Finally, I had to create a social media graphic to promote the company so I went with a simple and effective approach that is easy to read.

I enjoyed creating the logo and bringing my ideas to life. Some of the tools and skills I used in this project that I have learned were balance, consistence, and iteration. This project challenged me creatively, but I am proud of the work I created!
