My project was to create a branding for a small dessert shop that stays open late. Within this I created the logo, company mission, business card, a company product, billboard, and media post. I had 30 hours to complete this.

In this project I utilized and grew my skills to take an idea and build it up into a project, my ability to keep designs cohesive, and my photoshop skills.

Step 1. Mood Board

I created this mood board to keep a directory of the company. Moon and dark lighting was a big part of the company look I wanted. Then I gathered different treat symbols that I wanted to use to show that it’s a dessert shop. My color scheme is is focused on light purple and black, with my secondary colors are dark purple, dark blue, and light blue.

Step 2. Logo

The next step was to great the logo. The company name is MidNight Goodies, I wanted to give it a nigh time spooky feel and add the desserts and coffee under to show what kind of shop it was. I wanted a moon as the logo and have the moon be the main company color so I came up with multiple ideas and ended with the 4th one.

My first idea was a full moon. I played around My second idea was a half moon and I liked the the text in different areas and liked this the most. it more!

I liked this placement of the moon and text a lot With this one i fixed the problem with the text more. But the black text blended into the moon. text blending in by making the background And I didn’t want to switch the color of the moon. black which made it more night feeling and I also wanted to make it more of a darker feel. changed the text to white.

Step 3. Company Misson

The company mission is the company as a whole. What the company is, who the targeted audience is, and the companies identity as a whole. It speaks for itself!

My goal was to attract the audience the company wanted, which is teens and young adults.

Step 4. Business Card

I then create a business card. My goal was to keep it simple and cohesive with the rest of the branding but add something cute.

Step 5. Billboard

I created a bill board mock up to advertise the company. I wanted it to be similar to the business card. And created a nice simple billboard.

I have our logo big and clear with our slogan but added our desert categories. And then our little sweats symbols.

Step 6. Company Product

I needed to create a product for our company, and what better fitting then a cute coffee mug! Once again I kept it simple and stuck with our logo and our sweats symbols.

Step 7. Media Post

My last prompt of the project was to create a media post for the business.

My media post was to promote our seasonal flavors! I wanted it to feel very fall and have the message very clear.
