Skills Showcase: Credits, song or poem

Planning/Pre Production
My project was to make an animation to advertise my comic. I decided to go with a fairly popular song, “F.L.Y” by Spectrum. I wanted to show as many of the characters in the comic as I could to make potential readers interested in what the comic has in store. I drew out a drawing of my main three characters and one of the character’s weapons for a reference.
Production
after I chose a song and started to get an idea of what my animation would look like, I started on my storyboards. These storyboards would help me better visualize my goal throughout the entire project. after I was happy with my storyboards, I started drawing out my frames. The frames were very fun to draw, but there were 40+ frames, so this part of the process got rather tedious. after I finished the frames, I started piecing everything together in After Effects.

Current Versions
The following YouTube video is my completed product. I had quite a bit of trouble with the audio of my animatic because my After Effects wouldn’t play audio. thankfully, with the help of a few friends, I was able to get it working and finish my current versions! I’m very proud of it, and I can’t wait to do more things like this in the future!
