Welcome! My name is Ethan Bloom and I am a digital media student at Francis Tuttle on the Danforth campus learning about graphic design.
I have an uncanny knack for drawing things from pure imagination, with little to no references. Well, I say no references, but most of my work has been inspired from other artists and different forms of media, like movies and video games to name a few. I’m able to look back at past drawings and improve myself as well, which is why my art style can change over time.
I specialize in character and creature design, you can check out a few examples I posted down below!
I would love to go into 2D animation after my course in the essentials of digital media. Whenever I do, I’ll post the finished videos and the details about them in the future on a separate page.
Until then, please look at what I have to offer.

ALL TRADITIONAL PIECES OF ART WERE DRAWN IN A SPIRAL BOUND SKETCH BOOK WITH 100 SHEETS OF 5.5″x8.5″, 60 lb, HEAVY WEIGHT, WHITE PAPER. USING A HB GRADE LEAD PENCIL.
ALL PHOTOS OF TRADITIONAL PIECES OF ART HAVE BEEN TAKEN WITH MY PHONE AND EDITED IN PHOTOSHOP TO MAKE THEM MORE CRISP AND EASIER TO SEE.
I love drawing fantasy creatures and I feel like I’m pretty good at it. This “Fallen Beast” is the line art creature concept of an enemy the protagonists in my story, Fallen Fates (subject to change), might face. This was an attempt to recreate the same design from my traditional sketch book on a digital tablet, while also drawing it from a different angle. Drawn in Photoshop.
This is the traditional form of the “Fallen Beast”, which I drew before the digital one. As you can see, it has some visual differences. That’s because I drew the digital version from memory roughly a month after I created the traditional version in my sketch book.
Above is a small scenario concept of a character in my story Fallen Fates (subject to change). Drawn in Photoshop.
Below is group concept of the cryptic creature: the jackalope. I was experimenting with different poses I could draw the creatures in and how I would need to angle the antlers a specific way to make them look natural. Traditional sketch.
Here is a traditional sketch of a wounded character struggling to escape a monstrous spider mutant down an abandoned mine shaft. This scene is inspired from a video game I love to play called Hunt Showdown.
